MySQL<\/strong> is the world’s second most widely used open-source relational database management system (RDBMS). You will need to install MySQL databases for many of the scripts that you use to power your website.

While many of our modules \u2014 such as WordPress \u2014 create the MySQL database for you, there will be times when you need to manually create one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this tutorial, we\u2019re going to show you how to create a MySQL database<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Login to your InterWeb SA Client Area<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Access cPanel<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) Once in cPanel, scroll down<\/strong> to the Databases Tab and click MySQL\u00ae Databases

4) In MySQL\u00ae Databases under Create New Database, give your database a name<\/strong>.

InterWeb SA tip: The prefix will be your Username.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this example, we\u2019ll call our database interweb1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After entering the name, click Create Database <\/strong>(pictured below<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5) After you create the database, click the Go Back<\/strong> link on the next page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
